Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are both natives of the land down under, but the exes met and fell in love on the other side of the world.
Kidman and Urban first crossed paths at the G’Day USA Gala — an event honoring Australians in Los Angeles — in 2005. Kidman was immediately smitten with the country singer, but Urban took a little longer to come around.
Urban recalled being in an “unhealthy place” when he first encountered the Big Little Lies actress, which made him wait to call her. In time, he made his move, and the pair eventually tied the knot in June 2006.
They later welcomed two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.
In September 2025, Us Weekly confirmed that the couple had separated after nearly two decades of marriage. Their divorce was finalized in a Nashville court in January 2026.

Kidman and Urban were introduced at the G'Day USA Gala in Los Angeles. On their 10th wedding anniversary, the Grammy winner shared via Instagram the first photo that he said the couple took "within minutes of meeting each other."

Court documents obtained by Us stated that the duo quietly finalized their split in a Nashville court on January 6. According to the paperwork, neither party will pay alimony or spousal support. The court docs also confirm that Kidman will be the primary parent of her and Urban’s two daughters and no monthly child support will be paid.

Kidman broke her silence on her divorce from Urban in an interview with Variety. “I’m always going to be moving toward what’s good,” she said. “What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward.
