Latest Shocking Entertainment News: Bethenny Frankel Reacts to Teresa Giudice and Luis Ruelas’ Tax Debt Claims
Bethenny Frankel is in disbelief over Teresa Giudice and Luis Ruelas’ allegedly owing $3 million in taxes.
“OMG no say this is not so,” Frankel, 54, captioned a Tuesday, March 25, Instagram Reel discussing Guidice, 52, and Ruelas’ alleged situation.
News broke on Monday, March 24, that Giudice and Ruelas have received more than $3 million in tax liens. According to records obtained by People, Giudice owes $303,889.20 while Ruelas’ amount nears $2.6 million. In December 2024, Ruelas was issued an additional lien for $163,523.94. The lien is reportedly still an open case.
Neither Giudice or Ruelas have publicly commented on the report. Us Weekly reached out to Giudice for comment.
In the clip, Frankel gave her honest thoughts on the reported tax debut. The former Real Housewives of New York star shared that the issue seemed eerily familiar to Teresa’s previous money and legal issues with ex-husband Joe Giudice.

Teresa and Joe filed for bankruptcy in 2009, claiming they were $11 million in debt. Five years later, the pair were indicted on 39 counts, including bankruptcy fraud. Teresa ended up serving 11 months in prison the following year. Joe served a 41-month prison sentence for bankruptcy fraud. Following his release, he was deported to his native Italy. Joe currently resides in The Bahamas.
“I can not believe that Teresa is in another marriage with financial, legal issues,” Frankel said in the video. “I’ll have to pull when I tweeted ‘If Teresa Giudice does not sign a prenup I will jump through my phone.’”
Frankel compared Teresa’s alleged current predicament to watching a show or film when you already know the outcome.
“You’re watching the movie and you’re like ‘No! Do not open that closet!’ I feel terrible but like fool me once, you’re a fool. Fool me twice, I’m a fool,” she shared. “Love is blind, [and] all these things but oh my God.”
Frankel joked that “there’s never been a worse picker in the history of pickers” besides herself and Teresa when it comes to dating. Despite the Real Housewives of New Jersey star’s current circumstance, Frankel believes she still takes the cake.

“I still win cause I was 10 years on a two-year marriage but I didn’t go to the clink,” she quipped. “I almost would have.”
One thing that also stood out to Frankel was the decision for Teresa and Ruelas, 49, to star on RHONJ.
“Why would you both go on TV? There’s something wrong with someone who goes on TV knowing that there’s … a dead body in your trunk,” she recounted. “It’s almost like it’s being made up. It’s unfathomable. It doesn’t make any sense, it’s too implausible.”
