Latest Shocking Entertainment News: Donald Trump Claims Rob Reiner Was Killed Over ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’
President Donald Trump spoke out about the tragic deaths of director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Reiner — and claimed he knew why the Hollywood couple was killed.
On Monday, December 15, hours after Rob, 78, and Michele, 68, were found dead inside their Los Angeles mansion, Trump, 79, took to his Truth Social platform.
“A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS,” Trump wrote.
“He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before,” he added before ending with, “May Rob and Michele rest in peace!”

As Us previously reported, Rob and Michele were found inside their home on Sunday, December 14. “It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner,” a spokesperson for the family said. “We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time.”
Per TMZ, Rob and Michele “suffered lacerations consistent with a knife,” and the Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the matter.
Rob and Michele’s son Nick Reiner was arrested by the LAPD and is currently in custody over allegations of murder. Nick struggled with drug addiction for years. In 2016, he spoke to People about being homeless for a period of his life.
“I was homeless in Maine. I was homeless in New Jersey. I was homeless in Texas,” Nick, 32, said. “I spent nights on the street. I spent weeks on the street. It was not fun.”

“I met crazy great people there, so out of my element. Now, I’ve been home for a really long time, and I’ve sort of gotten acclimated back to being in L.A. and being around my family. But there was a lot of dark years there,” Nick told the outlet at the time.
Rob wed Michele in 1989. The duo shared three children: Nick, son Jake and daughter Romy. The director also had an adopted daughter, Tracy, with his first wife, Penny Marshall.
Following the news of his murder, countless celebrities spoke out to honor Rob.
Former President Barack Obama wrote, “Michelle [Obama] and I are heartbroken by the tragic passing of Rob Reiner and his beloved wife, Michele.”

“Rob’s achievements in film and television gave us some of our most cherished stories on screen. But beneath all of the stories he produced was a deep belief in the goodness of people — and a lifelong commitment to putting that belief into action,” Obama, 64, added. “Together, he and his wife lived lives defined by purpose. They will be remembered for the values they championed and the countless people they inspired. We send our deepest condolences to all who loved them.”
Kathy Bates, who won an Oscar for her role in Rob’s film Misery, said, “I loved Rob. He was brilliant and kind, a man who made films of every genre to challenge himself as an artist.”
Bates, 77, added, “He also fought courageously for his political beliefs. He changed the course of my life. [Michele] was a gifted photographer. She shot my beautiful photos for the Misery campaign. My heart breaks for them both. My thoughts are with their family.”
