Latest Shocking Entertainment News: 'Riverdale' Alum Camila Mendes and Rudy Mancuso Engaged After 3 Years
Camila Mendes and her boyfriend of three years, Rudy Mancuso, are officially engaged.
Mancuso, 33, proposed to Mendes, 31, on Friday, October 24, a representative for the actress confirmed to Us Weekly on Saturday, October 25. (People was the first to report the news.)
Mancuso surprised the Riverdale alum with his question, which they celebrated with their loved ones. Video of the happy couple after the surprise proposal has also been shared online.
“Congrats on the engagement, brotha,” comedian Chelly wrote via his Instagram Stories on Friday, sharing footage of the two actors holding hands.

Mancuso wore a white button-down with black slacks for the occasion, while Mendes sizzled in a black coatdress.
Mendes and Mancuso had been together since 2022 after meeting on the set of Mancuso’s directorial film, Música.
“She’s immensely talented. She’s smart, she’s funny, she’s quick, she’s beautiful. I had seen her work [including] Coyote Lake, Palm Springs and obviously Riverdale. I knew that I wanted to explore a different side of her,” Mancuso exclusively told Us in April 2024 of casting Mendes as his onscreen love interest. “After meeting with her, I knew she had [that different side] in her, which was just embracing the Brazilian American culture and background.”
He continued, “As soon as I met her — I met her for this project — she quite literally ticked every box. [Her character] Isabella is Brazilian American and is this grounded free spirit who embraces struggle and is very family oriented. All those qualities Camila actually possesses in real life.”
According to Mancuso, he unknowingly wrote the Isabella character with Mendes in mind.
“She was able to personalize the character so much more than I had even anticipated. When I was writing, [Camila] was heavily in mind whether I knew that we’d get her or not,” he told Us. “Camila and I tailored these two characters to our actual selves so much more than the page had suggested. And she did a very good job of protecting all the characters’ integrities and arcs — not only hers and mine.”
In the years since their Música collaboration, Mendes and Mancuso’s romance has continued to heat up.

“3 years since I asked ‘What are we,’” Mendes wrote via Instagram in July.
Mancuso responded in the comments section, “Love you so muito.”
Mendes previously dated Ian Wallace from 2013 to 2017 and her Riverdale costar Charles Melton from 2018 to 2021, though often opted against speaking about her love life publicly.
“In my day-to-day life, I am an open book. But I’ve also developed this sixth sense. I understand how my spoken words can translate into written words and how things can appear out of context,” Mendes told L.A. Confidential in March 2019. “It’s like, yeah, even though I feel comfortable talking about some things, do I really want to see it written over and over again? Sometimes, it’s not really worth it.”
Mancuso, for his part, was previously in a six-year relationship with actress Maia Mitchell before they broke up in 2022.
