After the Today show coanchor expressed regret for once asking a personal question, Kardashian confirmed there are no hard feelings.

Savannah Guthrie is looking back on her broadcasting career and revealing her most regretful on-air moment.
During the Monday, October 20, episode of the Today show, the journalist, 53, was asked if she had any regrets from any of her past interviews.
Guthrie recalled asking former guest Khloé Kardashian about the rumors that the late Robert Kardashian was not her biological father back in 2012, revealing she put the Good American founder, 41, on the spot just before a commercial because it was such an uncomfortable question.
“I asked Khloé Kardashian, like, 10 seconds before we were going to break about the rumors that her father wasn’t her father,” Guthrie shared in hindsight. (At the time, there were several reports questioning if Kardashian’s biological father was the late O.J. Simpson.)

Guthrie said she felt uneasy over the ordeal, explaining that she was facing “all this pressure” from producers who were eager for her to ask the “dishy question.”
The TV personality praised Kardashian for brushing off the speculation without getting flustered or taking the question to heart.
“So at the very end we were like, ‘And Khloé, like, what about this rumor that Robert Kardashian’s not really your father?’ And they were like, ‘10, nine, eight…’ and I was so embarrassed,” Guthrie explained. “And she was such a class act. She was like, ‘Ah, nothing to it.’ We made the break. I asked the question, Khloé was a total class act.”
The mom of two — who now shares daughter True and son Tatum with ex Tristan Thompson — previously shut down the theories during a May 2012 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, on which she was encouraged to take a paternity test to set the record straight.
Khloé ultimately refused, stating clearly that her “dad is Robert Kardashian.”
Her siblings include older sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Kim Kardashian as well as younger brother Rob Kardashian, plus Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner.
Simpson had ties to the Kardashian family as he was close with Robert Sr., who served on his now-infamous legal team when he was accused of killing his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman, in 1994. Simpson was ultimately found not guilty in October 1995 following a criminal trial, but liable in a civil trial nearly two years later, in February 1997.

“Khloe, like all the girls, I’m very proud of, just like I know Bob would be if he was here,” Simpson tweeted in response to the hearsay in 2019. “The simple facts of the matter is she is not mine.”
The former NFL star addressed the paternity theories again during a 2022 episode of the “Full Send” podcast, saying, “The rumor ain’t true. It’s not even anywhere close to being true.”
“People have their types, right? I always thought Kris [Jenner] was a cute girl,” he said, doubling down on his previous remarks. “She was really nice. But I was dating supermodels.”
Simpson died in April 2024 at the age of 76 after battling prostate cancer.
