Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster took the next step in their relationship by stepping out for a rare date night as a couple.
The Deadpool & Wolverine actor, 57, and the Younger alum, 50, posed for a photo alongside Richard Marx and Daisy Fuentes at Marx’s After Hours Confessions show at Café Carlyle in New York City on Tuesday, October 21. Foster wore a white figure-hugging, long-sleeved dress for the occasion, while Jackman sported a blue suit.
Later in the evening, Jackman and Marx, 62 — who have been pals for more than 20 years — performed a song together on stage.
The day before Marx’s show, Jackman and Foster were photographed sitting together at the Fetch Pet Gala Presented by Kismet at The Carlyle in NYC. The couple was all smiles as they coordinated in black ensembles.
The outings marked rare appearances for Jackman and Foster, who went public with their romance in January. Before then, the pair posed together at several events in 2022 while costarring in the Broadway revival of The Music Man.
Rumors of a romance between Jackman and Foster surfaced in October 2024 shortly after she filed for divorce from Ted Griffin — with whom she adopted 8-year-old daughter Emily — following 10 years of marriage. Meanwhile, Jackman and his ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness — who share adopted son Oscar, 25, and daughter Ava, 20 — announced their separation in September 2023 after 27 years of marriage.

In November 2024, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that Jackman’s relationship with Foster — which began when they were working on The Music Man and still married to Furness, 69, and Griffin, 54, respectively — was “the reason [he] and Deb got divorced.” A second insider claimed that Furness was “blindsided” by the affair. (Furness later referred to the ordeal as a “betrayal” in a May statement to the Daily Mail.)
Soon after their romance made headlines, a source told Us in November 2024 that the pair were “happier than ever” amid their “wonderful next chapter” together.
According to the insider, Jackman admires Foster’s “immense talent, infectious positivity and grounded nature,” while she is drawn to his “kindness, professionalism and ability to make others feel valued.”
Jackman and Foster ultimately confirmed their relationship in January when they were spotted holding hands during a date night in Los Angeles. Later that month, the twosome were seen kissing while in the drive-thru line at an In-N-Out location in California.
In February, a source told Us that Jackman and Foster are “madly in love.”

“They’re not officially living together but spending a lot of time together,” the insider said, adding that the couple were “relieved and happy” to be out of hiding.
Of their decision to take their romance public, the source told Us, “It felt like the right time as their relationship has gotten stronger.”
With an eye toward their future, the insider added, “They’ve known each other for so long that it’s easy to fall into the next stage of their relationship.”
However, a separate source noted that a wedding was not on the horizon just yet, telling Us that Jackman and Foster were “not rushing into marriage but are committed to taking the next steps together.”
