Meet the Putmans cousins Noah and Gia are still recovering from injuries they sustained in the family’s fatal car accident.

“We wanted to share an update on Noah and Gia and ask that you continue to keep them in your prayers,” a Sunday, September 28, statement on the family’s Instagram account read. “Noah is still sedated, but we are so grateful to see that he is responding to us with movement. Every small sign reminds us that God is at work and hearing our prayers.”

Gia, meanwhile, underwent a craniotomy on Saturday, September 27.

“We are thankful to report that her care team shared some encouraging news, her brain pressure has gone down significantly,” the family’s statement noted. “This is a powerful reminder that God’s hand is on her, guiding her healing every step of the way.”

Noah and Gia were recently involved in a fatal car crash, where grandparents Bill and Barb Putman and Noah’s mom, Megan Putman, were killed.

“Through it all, we continue to hold tightly to our faith, knowing that God has a plan and a purpose for everything,” the Sunday statement concluded. “Even in the hardest moments, He is present [and] working in ways we may not yet understand. Thank you for all the continued prayers, love and support. We feel your strength and faith surrounding us.”

The Putmans further asked fans to “keep lifting Noah and Girl as they heal.”

A representative for the former TLC stars confirmed earlier on Saturday that Barb, Bill and Megan died in a “tragic car accident.” Bill and Barb shared sons Billy, Brandon and Blake, as well as daughter Blair.

Blake, who was married to Megan for 18 years ahead of her tragic death, was also hospitalized following the crash. In addition to Noah, the couple were parents to Lulu and Alena, who each sustained injuries in the accident, as well.

Gia, for her part, is one of the five daughters of Brandon and his wife, Kacie Putman.

The Putmans starred on TLC’s Meet the Putmans in 2017, which chronicled their daily lives as an extended multi-generational family of 25 living under one roof. The docuseries only aired for six episodes before it was later revived on YouTube in 2021 as Growing Up Putman.

Further details about the circumstances of the car crash have not been confirmed, though the surviving relatives are hoping to see Blake, Noah, Alena, Lulu and Gia make full recoveries.

“My entire family … all proclaimed that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior,” a statement shared via Instagram on Saturday read. “He is our hope, our peace and our salvation. Even in this time of heartbreak, we rest in knowing that God is in control. We know Papa, Neenee and Aunt Megan are not gone forever. They are alive and whole in Heaven, standing before Jesus, hearing the words we all long to hear: ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant.’”

The statement added, “We ask for your continued prayers … for our whole family as we walk through this deep loss. Even in this valley, we will praise Him. We trust that His plan is perfect, and that one day, we will be reunited in Heaven. Thank you for every prayer, message and act of love. Your support means more than words can express.”
