Latest Shocking Entertainment News: Country Singer Brett Young and Wife Taylor Gush Over Marriage, Parenthood

Country singer Brett Young and his wife, Taylor Mills Young, have their hands full with two daughters — and they wouldn’t have it any other way.

“We’re very, like, family-oriented,” Taylor, 40, exclusively told Us Weekly at the Tight Ends and Friends concert presented by Reese’s and Sports Illustrated on Tuesday, June 23, in Nashville. “I feel like our neighborhood has a lot of fun family things to do. We, like, run around outside [and visit the] golf course, all the things.”

Brett, 45, and Taylor have been married since 2018, going on to welcome daughters Presley and Rowan in 2019 and 2021, respectively.

“We’re almost kinda lost when we don’t do something with the girls,” Brett quipped on Tuesday, detailing how the pair’s date nights have changed. “Being the old people that we’ve become, it’s not really the 2:00 a.m. nights anymore. It’s, like, ‘Can we get a nice dinner at a reasonable hour, and get sweatpants on before we fall asleep mid-conversation?’”

Even so, Brett and Taylor are living their dreams.

“If someone asked me, like, in 20 [or] 30 years, ‘What were the best days of your entire life even though sometimes these are the hardest days with the kids being young and [Brett] traveling a lot?’ I really think I’m living the absolute best days of my life,” Taylor gushed. “And so, I cherish every moment. For me, that’s kind of where I’m at.”

Brett, for his part, added that “those are the songs” he’s currently writing.

“I got to write about meeting her, then breaking up with her, then marrying her, and now it’s really about being old married people [who] have little babies at home,” the musician teased, noting he’s proudest of the pair’s children. “You’re not gonna do anything more meaningful in your whole life than raising children.”

While Brett is used to rocking out on stages, he revealed that Taylor is a “rock star” when it comes to motherhood.

“She’s the best mom in the world and watching them turn into little people that are kind of her and kind of me, uh, and they’re starting to … [be] comfortable in their own skin,” Brett said on Tuesday. “They’re old enough that they’re actually doing things now, like, they have skills and they’re excited about stuff.”

Brett and Taylor enjoyed a rare date night without their kids at Tuesday’s concert, which was held at Nashville’s The Pinnacle during Tight End University (TEU).

“I kinda feel like a kid all over again, getting to be around these guys,” Brett joked. “I’m such a big fan, and to know that they’re a big fan of country music and to watch those worlds come together is really fun here in Nashville.”

TEU is cohosted by NFL icons Greg Olsen, George Kittle and Travis Kelce, the latter who is soon set to marry pop star Taylor Swift.

“I know this is so obvious, but I feel like communication and trust,” Taylor told Us, giving Swift and Kelce, both 36, advice for a lasting marriage. “If you can trust your person, obviously that takes a lot of work on both ends, but … I can just leave it up to Brett and God and being a good person, and then communicating when things aren’t maybe falling into line the way that I would, you know, see them.”

As for Brett, he acknowledged that “it’s a lot easier to get through the hard stuff when you trust your person.”

“[Taylor had a] really sweet [answer], but also, learn these two words, buddy, ‘Yes, honey,’” he quipped, speaking directly to Kelce. “‘Yes, dear,’ ‘Yes, my love,’ just [say] yes all the time, smile on your face, you got it.”
