Latest Shocking Entertainment News: 'RHONY' Star Sai De Silva's Husband Files for Divorce After 9 Years

The Real Housewives of New York City star Sai De Silva and her husband, David Craig, are calling it quits after almost a decade of marriage.

Us Weekly can confirm Craig filed for divorce in New York on Thursday, April 2. Neither he nor De Silva, 45, have publicly addressed their breakup.

De Silva and Craig met in 2009 during a trip to Costa Rica, getting married eight years later in 2017. The pair share daughter London, born in 2011, and son Rio, born in 2017.

Before joining the Bravo universe, De Silva and Craig maintained a private relationship.

“I feel like when you put your relationship out there, when people come with, ‘This is what you signed up for,’ to scrutinize and to judge you,” De Silva said on the “Sofia With an F” podcast in 2024. “My relationship is not open for judgment.”

De Silva opted to cover Craig’s face via social media since “that’s [her] platform.” He has occasionally made cameos on RHONY.

“My husband is very much involved in my life. He is my life,” she said. “He is my family, so he is going to be shown. Anything that I can control, like my social media platforms, what is he there for? He doesn’t get campaigns, he doesn’t shoot with me, he’s not my photographer.”

De Silva further added that Craig wasn’t interested in being on social media or “thirsty for fame.”

“This is not his world and also I don’t think people realize he’s not on social media at all, not even a Facebook [page],” she said at the time. “He has nothing, so he really is uninterested in what I do for a living. He sees the benefit of it, and he thinks it’s amazing. He supports me 100 percent, like, ‘Wow, I can’t believe you’ve made a living off doing this stuff. It’s amazing, but I don’t want to be seen [and] I don’t want to be in your photos.’”

The Bravolebrity continued, “He’s so funny. He’s a good guy.”

De Silva also wasn’t keen on Craig getting too involved “in the women’s stuff.”

“I download him, of course, because we all download our stuff, so that’s what you do,” she told podcast host Sofia Franklyn. “Like, you shoot the s*** [and] you give them the tea. You spill the tea with them, like, ‘So and so did so and so.’ That’s your best friend at the end of the day, but at the same time, because I am on this show, I just don’t want him involved in the chitchat.”

De Silva is currently filming RHONY season 16 with Jessel Taank, Erin Lichy, Carole Radziwell and other Bravo newcomers.
