Layla Taylor is trying her best to figure out whether MomTok can survive its nonstop wave of drama and scandals.
“‘How are you doing with all the drama in MomTok?’” Layla, 25, wrote over a Friday, March 27, TikTok video of herself attempting to do acrobatic yoga poses.
Layla, dressed in a pink sweatshirt and matching shorts, elaborated on her mindset in the caption.
“I’m just trying to get this yoga pose from my fyp locked down idk,” she jokingly wrote.

Layla is among the stars of Hulu’s The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, chronicling a group of mom influencers in Utah. The show, fresh off its fourth season premiere, paused production on the next batch of episodes earlier in March.
“It was a decision that all of us girls came up with and agreed on,” Mikayla, 26, wrote via her Instagram Stories on March 18, confirming her costars’ decision to halt filming. “We didn’t feel comfortable filming with everything that was happening.”
In addition to Layla and Mikayla, Mormon Wives also stars Taylor Frankie Paul, Jessi Draper, Whitney Leavitt, Jen Affleck, Mayci Neeley and Miranda McWhorter. Amid the production pause, Us Weekly confirmed that Utah police were investigating an alleged domestic violence incident between Taylor, 31, and her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen.

Taylor is currently on probation for her 2023 arrest in relation to a separate physical incident with Dakota, 33. She pleaded guilty to aggravated assault as part of a plea deal to dismiss additional charges of domestic violence in the presence of a child, child abuse with injury and criminal mischief. (Paul shares Indy, 8, and Ocean, 5, with ex-husband Tate Paul, as well as son Ever, who was born in March 2024, with Mortensen, 33.)
Footage from the 2023 altercation leaked on March 19, in which Taylor was seen physically assaulting her now-ex and throwing chairs at him in the presence of her daughter. As a result of the video’s publication, ABC opted to cancel Taylor’s then-upcoming season of The Bachelorette.
“Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security,” a rep for Taylor told Us in a statement. “Taylor has remained silent out of fear of further abuse, retaliation, and public shaming. She is currently exploring all of her options, seeking support and preparing to own and share her story.”

Dakota, who has denied any accusations regarding his behavior, was subsequently granted a temporary protective order against Taylor that also awarded him sole custody of Ever.
As Taylor continued to deal with the fallout from her domestic violence scandal, Jessi, 33, confirmed that she is divorcing husband Jordan Ngatikaura on the Wednesday, March 25, episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast.
“I did end it with him, so I knew it was coming,” Jessi claimed of Jordan, 31, filing for divorce. “We had made an agreement to do it together, and he blindsided me and filed because he wanted the headline first. We agreed to tell our children together before filing, and we haven’t done that.”
Jordan filed for divorce on March 19, telling Us in a statement that it was “an easy decision.”

Less than one week later, Us confirmed that Jessi kissed costar Miranda’s ex-husband, Chase McWhorter, at a party but it wasn’t “serious.” Jessi sent Miranda, 27, apology flowers afterward.
“I knew there had been communication between Chase and Jessi but not to what extent,” Miranda, who coparents her two kids with Chase, said in a statement. “Chase was upfront and told me that they were talking and that they kissed. Jessi reached out only after she knew Chase had told me something was going on with them. What I never want to get misconstrued is that there is not any emotional attachment to Chase.”
