Latest Shocking Entertainment News: Ethan Hawke Makes Wild Allusion to Sex Life When Asked If He Eats in Bed
Ethan Hawke is making a not-so-subtle reference to his sex life — and it has Us feeling some type of way.
Hawke, 55, played Jenga with British Vogue and British GQ at their Fashion & Film Party on Sunday, February 22. The twist? Each Jenga block had a question written on it, and the one Hawke pulled led to a very dirty response from the actor.
“I have some confidence at this game, and let’s see. This is the question,” he said. “Is it bad to eat in bed? Incredibly vulgar things are going through my brain right now.”
Hawke added, “I like to eat in bed, but I don’t eat food.”

The actor rubbed his beard after laughing while answering the question.
Hawke has been married to Ryan Shawhughes since 2008. He was previously married to Uma Thurman, whom he started dating after they met on the set of the 1997 movie Gattaca.
“When I split up, I was hell-bent on not having any more kids and I wanted to be single for the rest of my life,” Hawke told the Los Angeles Times of Shawhughes in November 2025. “But then I made a best friend and I liked kissing her.”
Hawke doesn’t make many public comments about his marriage to Shawhughes.
Hawke pulled another Jenga block, according to the social media video posted on Monday, February 23. His second question was also related to food.
“When is it too early to eat dinner?” he asked. “I can’t eat dinner before a play. You can’t play Hamlet — you gotta wait to eat dinner till afterwards.”
Hawke continued, “As a person who flies a lot, it’s never too early for dinner. I like to eat.”
The final question he pulled read, “What’s the worst thing to forget at home?”
Hawke’s answer was not his kids. The actor, who is the father of daughter Maya and son Levon with ex-wife Thurman along with daughters Clementine and Indiana with Shawhughes, said his children “like being at home.”

Hawke also referred to himself as an “absolute space cadet” who sometimes forgets his keys.
“That’s really embarrassing,” he explained. “When you’re the father of four and you’re like, ‘Hey, kids, somebody let me in.’ It’s, like, super embarrassing.”
Hawke discussed his relationship with his kids with Us Weekly exclusively last month while attending the All the President’s Men benefit reading for the Stella Adler Foundation at the Harmony Gold Theater in Los Angeles.
“I believe in these kinds of organizations because, just, the cultivation of performances in art form is important to me,” Hawke explained, name-dropping his daughter, who studied at Stella Adler. “And I see it reflected in Maya. She went to Juilliard. She’s a real thing. They’ve crushed it with Stranger Things. And I’m proud of her.”
He added of all his kids, “I’m proud of them for so many reasons that have nothing to do with [them finding success in Hollywood]. But they’re wonderful people, and they’re going to find their own way.”
