Latest Shocking Entertainment News: The Traitors' Dylan Efron Clarifies His Bathing Habits: ‘I Do Shower’
In case you were concerned, The Traitors star Dylan Efron actually does take care of his hygiene despite some controversial opinions on frequent showers.
“A shower a day is OK,” Efron, 33, said on the Friday, March 7, episode of “The Viall Files” podcast. “I was saying that people shower too much and, like, I don’t think every time we shower, we need to scrub our whole bodies and clean our shins with soap. You clean all six cracks and you’re good.”
He added, “I do shower. I’m not soaping myself crazy every day, [but] like, I’ll clean. I’m not dirty.”
Efron previously raised eyebrows about his bathing habits when he was asked on the “Are You Okay?” show about what he finds overrated.

“I think people shower too much,” Efron admitted. “We take way too many showers. I go in the pool a lot — like, there’s chlorine. It’s killing everything. We don’t need to soap our bodies every time we’re in the shower, either. That’s way too much.”
The interview subsequently sparked concern that Zac Efron’s younger brother does not bathe at all, which he’s happy to confirm is just a myth.
“I’m OK with being dirty, like, I love camping and all of that, but when I’m home, I’m clean,” Dylan said. “I love going in the ocean. I’ll, like, rinse off after going in the ocean, but I don’t think I need a whole other soap bath.”
He continued, “So, I showered this morning [and then] went to the pool. See, I’m showering a lot these days! … After the pool, I just used the public shower and rinsed the chlorine off.”
Dylan’s efforts to stay clean no doubt pleases his girlfriend, Courtney. Elsewhere in Friday’s interview, he revealed that he’s known his better half since high school.

“I’m in a relationship. It’s cool because she’s actually not on social media and she works a 40-hour week job,” Dylan gushed. “It works out really well. It’s not, like, I’m hiding her from the world or anything. She understands the job, all the stuff. She doesn’t really like being on camera. She loves your guys’ podcast. I wouldn’t know about it [without her]. She’s the one who introduced me.”
According to Dylan, who won The Traitors alongside Gabby Windey, Dolores Catania and Ivan Mountbatten, he and Courtney also “just moved in” together.
“That was kind of our thing, like, ‘Let’s get some more space and that will lead to a happier relationship,’” Dylan added, teasing that a proposal is “definitely” on the horizon. “We’re working on it. Courtney’s so down-to-earth, she’d never [impose a deadline]. Look, we’re 33. She’s not going to put a deadline on it.”
