Latest Shocking Entertainment News: 'Pump Rules' Cast Breaks Down Hints of Raquel Leviss and Tom Sandoval's Affair
Right under their noses? The Vanderpump Rules cast was shocked by the news that Raquel Leviss and Tom Sandoval were having an affair — but have since broken down the signs that might have been there the entire time.
In March 2023, Us Weekly confirmed Sandoval’s split from longtime girlfriend Ariana Madix, who called it quits with the TomTom cofounder because he cheated with Leviss.
“Ariana found out [about the affair] after looking at Tom’s phone while he was on stage performing his new song,” a source shared with Us at the time. The insider added that it was “unclear” if Sandoval’s business partner, Tom Schwartz — who hooked up with Leviss several months prior — “knew [about the affair] or if he was blindsided.
The bombshell news came as Vanderpump Rules viewers watched the onscreen build-up to Leviss and Schwartz’s hookup. (The costars made out at Scheana Shay and Brock Davies‘ wedding in August 2022, five months after the restaurant owner’s split from Katie Maloney.)
Amid the drama, Peter Madrigal recalled growing suspicious of the time the beauty pageant contestant spent with Sandoval.
“Let’s just put it this way, I found it very interesting — I’m not gonna go into the details, because there are certain things I can’t go into details about — but how do I put this, they were hanging out quite a bit without Ariana around,” the OG cast member, who briefly dated Leviss in summer 2022, said on the “Alison Rosen Is Your New Best Friend” podcast in March 2023. “In the back of my head, I’m like, ‘This is weird, but OK, maybe Tom’s just trying to show her the ropes or something like that.’ Some ropes!”
He continued: “I know this for a fact. I’m not gonna reveal any names, but I know that a few people knew about this and tipped Scheana off. That’s the way I think the scenario happened. I do know some people knew about it for a while.”
Shay, for her part, was served with a temporary restraining order from Leviss amid rumors that things got physical when the singer — who is close friends with Madix — learned about the affair. Shay’s attorney denied the allegations against his client in a statement to Us.
Shay’s friends Jamie Lynne and Kael Ramsey Ackerson later claimed that Leviss told them when things turned romantic between her and Sandoval.
“She basically just told me [it happened] seven months ago and after the Las Vegas trip,” Ramsey-Ackerson explained on Lynne’s “Jamie All Over” podcast in March 2023, referring to the boys’ night episode of the hit Bravo series. “She was like, ‘[After the boys’ night] is when [Sandoval and I] got closer.'”
Meanwhile, Lynne broke down her suspicions about the twosome that night. “Raquel and Sandoval were sitting on the curb outside of Saddle Ranch just talking. I didn’t realize that at the time like how close they were talking or how intimate it actually looked,” she said. “So I start filming the two of them talking. We’re so clueless that we have no idea what’s actually transpiring.”
After rewatching the August 2022 video, Lynne noted that it didn’t appear platonic.
“I had this thought [at the time]. I thought I’m not posting this because this looks way too intimate and I don’t want Ariana to feel a certain way about this,” she continued. “I don’t want her to feel disrespected, but it didn’t set off alarm bells, like, is something inappropriate happening? It was just that she might get the wrong idea and I don’t want to put anyone in that position.”
She concluded: “If you watch it back — without the voiceover on it — it looks super close and super intimate. But bottom line is that none of us knew beforehand.”

Production won't let you,'" Shay, who tied the knot with Brock Davies in August 2022, recalled on the "Reality Hits" podcast in May 2023. "They couldn't hook up in Tom and Ariana's room — they needed a private room." The "Good as Gold" singer added: "Because Jenny was like, 'I'll get out of the room. I'll clean up all my stuff [and] I'll keep it in the closet. I'll leave the room so it just looks like you're staying here by yourself.' Raquel said, 'No, sorry. "[While we were filming season 10], I told Raquel, 'I am going to be late to your birthday. As a friend, will you wait for me?' "Another [clue about their affair] is Raquel drinking a Coors Light while they are hanging out at the picnic table when they get to the glamping spot [in the most recent episode]," the beauty mogul said on a May 2023 episode of her "Give Them Lala" podcast. "Easter egg! When have you ever had a Coors Light, bitch? When you started f—king Sandoval probably. Just like when you took [interest] in the weird [galaxy] lights. I have just never seen her with a Coors Light in her hand ever. But I have said this before — when a woman starts adopting things it is a red flag if I have ever seen one," she added. "The day that Ariana's grandmother died, Tom Sandoval came to the barbecue that I was at in Newport. Ariana was calling him furious, and he was like, 'OK, I will come home right now.' And he didn't leave for another two hours. He was with Raquel all day long," Kent revealed during a May 2023 episode of Vanderpump Rules. In April 2023, Kent pointed out the similarities between Sandoval's relationships with Kristen Doute and Madix respectively. "I think Sandoval has a thing for Raquel," the beauty mogul shared during a Vanderpump Rules episode. During an April 2023 episode of Vanderpump Rules, Maloney shared with Sandoval the rumors swirling about him and Leviss. "You get a lot of joy out of Raquel as well," the Utah native quipped. "You go to The Abbey together at one o'clock in the morning." In response, Sandoval blew off the speculation, saying, "Dude, what the f—k are you even saying? Get the f—k out of here, man." Earlier in the episode, James Kennedy's girlfriend, Ally Lewber, recalled Sandoval and Leviss' private outing. "Last night at Lala's apartment, I was grabbing my stuff and we were leaving and chatting. That is when I mentioned that I saw Sandoval and Raquel dancing together at The Abbey after [a] See You Next Tuesday [event at SUR]," the Bravo newcomer revealed in a confessional. "I personally wouldn't be comfortable to have my boyfriend out at 1 a.m. with girls. But everyone is different. I thought it was kind of weird that it was 1 a.m. and we were like, 'Where is [Sandoval's then-girlfriend] Ariana?'" "I did not know for a fact. I had suspected [because] there was something about Tom Sandoval and Raquel's friendship that was very suspicious," Maloney recalled on the "Off The Vine With Kaitlyn Bristowe" podcast in April 2023. "I didn't understand it at the beginning." While reflecting on her August 2022 wedding to Davies, Shay addressed rumors that Sandoval and Leviss were already hooking up at the time. "I completely forgot that this happened," the California native said in her "Scheananigans" podcast in March 2023, referring to claims that Leviss went missing for three hours on the day of the ceremony. "I was busy getting ready to get married that day." Shay's friend Lynne noted that Leviss was absent from certain bridesmaid duties. (Leviss was later filmed making out with Schwartz at the nuptials.) "[Raquel] didn't show up until we had moved over to the bridal suite," she claimed. "She said she needed pool time or me time, but that's probably not what she was doing for that entire time. ... We all had schedules of where to be, and if [Sandoval and Raquel] were trying to figure out a time that they could have privacy, that would be the time because everybody was scheduled to be in your room." The SUR manager recalled how he "dismissed" Leviss and Sandoval's bond ahead of the scandal. “[I thought], ‘Sandoval is loyal to Ariana.
