Latest Shocking Celebrity News: Belly's Summer Spins Out of Control in "The Summer I Turned Pretty" Season 2 Trailer
Summer love has never been such a mess. Amazon Prime Video released the teaser trailer for "The Summer I Turned Pretty" season two on June 8, and it shows Lola Tung's Belly, Christopher Briney's Conrad, and Gavin Casalegno's Jeremiah caught in a love triangle during one summer that might change everything. The trailer uses Taylor Swift's song "August" to cast a somber, pensive mood over clips from the new season. The new footage also features Sean Kaufman as Steven and Rain Spencer as Taylor.
Prime Video previously shared first-look photos for the new season on May 31, and on April 21 they released the first poster, which shows the unexpected return of David Iacono as Cam Cameron, as well as the addition of Elsie Fisher.
Season two of the hit romance series wrapped filming back in November 2022. At the time, the show's official Instagram and Twitter accounts shared celebratory posts, including a photo of some of the cast alongside the caption, "and that's a wrap on season 2 🎬."
The first "The Summer I Turned Pretty" book, which kicks off the popular Summer YA series, centers on Belly as her traditional family summer vacations whisk her off to the quaint Cousins Beach, where she comes of age and experiences all the teenage rites of passage. The teen romance drama earned an early season two renewal before season one even arrived in June 2022, causing audiences to wonder if the next batch of "The Summer I Turned Pretty" episodes would be here in time for the balmy days of 2023.
