Latest Shocking Celebrity News: Kaley Cuoco Still Hasn't Read Any Parenting Books, but Baby Matilda Is "Thriving"
Kaley Cuoco is soaking up new-mom life to the fullest extent. The actor gushed about her and boyfriend Tom Pelphrey's 5-week-old daughter, Matilda, at a John Ritter Foundation fundraiser event in Los Angeles on May 4. "She's thriving. She's the best," Cuoco told "Entertainment Tonight" during a red carpet interview, adding that she's been documenting every little moment at home. "I've become that mom who posts every freaking thing. She does something, and I'm like, 'I have to post that!' I'm so obsessed." It sounds like Matilda's personality is already similar to that of her mom. "She was laughing today, full-on laughing, and I was like, 'This kid is hysterical!'" Cuoco said.
"She's thriving. She's the best."
In February, Cuoco opened up about her refreshingly laid-back approach to motherhood, admitting that she wasn't reading books about parenting before giving birth. That hasn't changed. "Still haven't read a damn thing," she said. "We find ourselves in a very natural situation. We're just kind of going with the flow. She really tells us what she wants. . . . She's really just awesome, and we're loving it. We're loving being at home with her. We didn't read anything, and it's working for us."
Cuoco attended the fundraiser in support of the late John Ritter, who portrayed her father on the sitcom "8 Simple Rules" before passing away in 2003. The outing marked Cuoco and Pelphrey's second night out since welcoming Matilda in March. Last month, they stepped out together for the Los Angeles premiere of Pelphrey's film "Love & Death" - after snapping some photos with Matilda at home first, of course. With Cuoco's comedic-thriller series "Based on a True Story" set to release next month, we hope the new parents share even more sweet revelations about their bundle of joy soon.
