Newlywed bliss! Sofia Richie has been documenting her romantic honeymoon with husband Elliot Grainge after tying the knot on the French Riviera.
The California native, 24, shared several Instagram snaps on Thursday, April 27, of her and Grainge, 29, at a tropical place. In a selfie, Richie and Grainge grinned for the camera while riding their bikes on their getaway.
Although Richie did not reveal the location of the couple’s honeymoon, she previously offered a glimpse at her wedding ceremony. After walking down the aisle on Saturday, April 22, new footage of Richie’s final gown fitting was released.
“I always had this vision of the big princess dress, and going big, but as I got older, I realized that I wanted something a bit more simple,” she told Vogue in an interview that was published shortly after the nuptials took place. “Maybe ‘simple’ isn’t the right word because my dress definitely is not simple!”
The social media personality, who wore three custom Chanel gowns, noted she was excited for Grainge to see her on their special day. “We created the top of that dress and made it bridal-y,” she added. “It is such magic. I honestly think Elliot is going to love it. He is my biggest cheerleader when it comes to anything I wear. If he doesn’t cry, I’ll be very sad.”
Richie concluded: “We also loved the heart design in the middle of my chest and my ribs. I am so excited. [It’s] because I’m marrying Elliot, I know that sounds cheesy — but he is the man of my dreams.”
The wedding was a star-studded affair, with celebrities such as Lionel Richie, Nicole Richie, Joel Madden, Benji Madden and Cameron Diaz in attendance. Paris Hilton and husband Carter Reum was also photographed at the event.
Sofia and Grainge sparked dating speculation in January 2021 when they were spotted on multiple outings. Richie’s relationship with the record executive marked her first public romance following her August 2020 split from Scott Disick.
As Sofia and the businessman continued to get more serious, a source exclusively told Us Weekly how their friendship grew into something more.
“They started out as friends before they became a couple and are now getting serious. Their relationship took off and they have been getting closer and closer and spend practically every day together,” the insider exclusively told Us in April 2021. “He’s super sweet and a really cool guy — her friends and family approve!”
Sofia confirmed the duo’s engagement after one year of dating, writing via Instagram in April 2022, “Forever isn’t long enough @elliot.”
At the time, a second insider revealed that the fashion designer was “over the moon” about the milestone moment. “She couldn’t be happier that she found The One,” the source detailed to Us in August 2022. “She’s taking the time to enjoy being engaged and traveling the world with Elliot, but at the same time, she has started wedding planning and looking at locations. She wants to get married next year.”
