He’s a sucker for her! Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra’s love story is one of a kind.
The twosome first got acquainted in September 2016 after the Jonas Brothers member slid into Chopra’s Twitter DMs. They continued to text from there and later connected in person at the 2017 Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty, where Jonas got down on one knee to show his admiration for the Quantico alum.
Jonas and Chopra were then both invited by Ralph Lauren to attend the 2017 Met Gala in his designs, but the Indian star said in June 2017 that the pair were just friends.
Us Weekly broke the news in May 2018 that Jonas and Chopra were officially dating. At the time, an insider revealed that they were “a good match and they are both interested in each other.”
The “Jealous” crooner proposed to Chopra on her birthday just two months later and the couple tied the knot in two separate ceremonies in India that December.
In January 2019, the Camp Rock actor opened up about the couple’s romance and the key to their marriage’s success. “It was kind of an instant thing,” he told Entertainment Tonight of their early beginnings. “I knew once we locked in together that I had a partner for life and a teammate, someone I could walk through the good times and the bad times with, and that was the key.”
The Baywatch actress, for her part, has shared how supportive Jonas has been throughout their relationship. “I really feel, like, being with someone like my husband now, there’s such an incredible power,” she said on the “InCharge with DVF” podcast in March 2020. “It’s so attractive to me that he … feels empowered when he sees me empowered. Like, he’ll stand on a [red] carpet on the side and watch when they’re taking pictures. He’ll, like, want to see things I’ve done. Like, he feels so proud.”
The Isn’t It Romantic star also told Us exclusively in January 2020 that Jonas is “the best guy,” adding: “Just knowing that I have my husband by my side is the best perk of all.”

Jonas revealed during an interview with Vogue in November 2018 that he first reached out to Chopra via her Twitter DMs. "I'm hearing from a few mutual friends that we should meet,” the Disney alum wrote to his future love on September 8, 2016. “She responded day of with a message that said, 'My team can read this. Why don't you just text me.’”

The duo had a texting relationship for months before meeting up multiples times in early 2017, including at the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty, at the Carlyle in New York City and at Chopra’s home.
“We hung out for a couple of hours,” Chopra told Vogue in November 2018. “He patted my back before he left.”
Jonas added: “There was no kiss. There was nothing. She’s still upset about that. … Your mom was in the house! I thought it was a respectful first night.”
The singer may have kept things “respectful,” but he also was falling for Chopra, telling the magazine that he got down on one knee at the Vanity Fair party in February 2017. “I put my drink down,” he recalled to the outlet. “Get on one knee —this is in front of a bunch of people— and I say, ‘You’re real. Where have you been all my life?’ Like, loud.”

The “Jealous” singer and the Quantico alum were first spotted together when they walked the red carpet at the Met Gala in New York City. He sported a black and white tuxedo, while she wore a trench coat with a long train. “We were both wearing Ralph Lauren, and we decided to go together,” Chopra later explained on Jimmy Kimmel Live! before insisting that their relationship was purely platonic at the time.

One year after the Met Gala, Us exclusively revealed that Jonas and Chopra had started dating. “It’s brand new,” a source told Us. Another insider noted that the former Jonas Brothers member, who is 10 years younger than the actress, “loves women who are mature like him, [which] usually means he dates a little outside of his age bracket.”

The pair exchanged flirty comments on Instagram. After Chopra shared a photo of herself having dinner at In-N-Out Burger with two friends, Jonas commented, “That smile,” adding a heart emoji.
