Desmond Scott had been married to influencer Kristy Scott for more than a decade before she filed for divorce.
News broke in January that Kristy — who goes by Kristy Sarah online — filed for divorce from Desmond on December 30, 2025, with documents filed in Harris County, Texas. Kristy cited alleged infidelity as the reason for their separation, a report from TMZ claimed.
The docs state that there is no chance of reconciliation, with the report noting that Kristy and Desmond “will soon stop living together as husband and wife.” Us Weekly reached out to Kristy and Desmond for comment at the time.
Desmond went on to break his silence on the filing via his Instagram Story, sharing that he made “choices that I am not proud of” while working through his split from Kristy.

Desmond frequently shares recipe videos and clips of him cooking to his social media page. In December 2025, Desmond uploaded an Instagram video of him calmly pouring syrup on a plate — while the camera panned to numerous dirty bowls and cooking utensils beside the sink.
“The perfect shot vs reality,” text over the video read, while the caption added, “I’m a messy cook I cant lie lol once I get going I don’t stop until I’m done but then I have the heap of everything to clean afterwards.”
Desmond Scott Responded to Kristy Scott’s Divorce Filing
Desmond shared a lengthy statement after Kristy filed for divorce, writing via his Instagram Story in January that he wanted to “begin by apologizing to Kristy, our family, and everyone who has been impacted by the public attention surrounding this situation.”
“I know this news has been disappointing for many, and I’m truly sorry for the hurt it has caused,” he wrote. “Kristy is the mother of my children, and that will always come first. I remain fully committed to being an active, present, and loving parent to our boys, as I have always been.”
Desmond claimed that he and Kristy “faced challenges and made sincere efforts to work through them.”
“Toward the end of 2025, I wanted to separate, and I had conversations with Kristy regarding this,” he wrote, noting that he made “choices that I am not proud of” while navigating the separation.
“I took responsibility for those actions,” he continued. “I shared this with her directly and personally, and ultimately we decided to divorce. I ask for privacy and compassion as we navigate this difficult chapter in our lives.”
Desmond concluded the message by thanking “everyone who has supported” his family over the years. “I’m grateful for that support and I will continue sharing my love for cooking and the things that inspire me,” Desmond wrote. “I hope you’ll continue that journey with me.”
Desmond Scott Threw a 10-Year Anniversary Bash With Kristy Scott in 2024
More than one year before news broke of their split, Desmond and Kristy commemorated their 10-year anniversary in August 2024. The pair confirmed to People that they threw a huge bash “focused on floral elegance.”
“Our guests felt like they were walking into a garden,” they said in a joint statement. “Our aim was to be elegant and timeless.”
Kristy and Desmond added, “We were teenagers and hadn’t even developed any style preferences, so this was our chance to redo our wedding as the adults that we are now, celebrating the life we’ve built and journey thus far.”
The pair noted that the celebration “felt even more special than our wedding.”
