Latest Shocking Entertainment News: Mormon Wives’ Chase McWhorter Accused of Breaking the Law Months After DUI
Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Chase McWhorter was pulled over for driving on a suspended license months after his DUI and cocaine possession arrest, Us Weekly can exclusively report.
Per court documents, Chase — who is the ex-husband of MomTok member Miranda McWhorter —pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of driving on a suspended or revoked license on November 26. (The charge stems from an incident on September 19 when Chase was cited for being behind the wheel without a license.)
The court ordered Chase to stay out of trouble and pay a $335 fine.
On December 2, Chase was sent a letter from the Bluffside Justice Center in Utah. The notice informed Chase he is in violation of a recent court order instructing him to pay fines for driving without a valid license.
Chase was given a deadline of December 17 to pay $335 or the matter would be sent to a judge. “It is in your best interest to respond to this letter TODAY,” the letter warned.

The court docket shows Chase paid the fine the following day.
As Us previously reported, Chase is still dealing with bigger legal issues after he was arrested in Utah on July 4, 2024, for driving under the influence and possession of cocaine.
The reality star was also charged with driving on a suspended or revoked license. The Hulu reality star was released on a $2,500 bond. He pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Chase is scheduled to appear in court on January 13 for sentencing over his DUI.
In the police report, officers said they pulled Chase over after he was unable to “maintain his speed and drifted outside of the travel lane several times.”
Per the report, an officer claimed Chase smelled like alcohol and had “bloodshot, glassy eyes,” along with slurred speech. While being questioned, Chase admitted he had been drinking at a bar and used cocaine before getting behind the wheel.
The arrest did not become public knowledge until The Sun broke the story on December 3. Chase apologized for the incident in a video posted on social media the same day.

“I was pulled over for driving under the influence, had ingested substances that I shouldn’t have and got behind the wheel of a car,” Chase said. “Extremely shortsighted, selfish and dangerous decision. And shout-out to the cop for helping people stay safe on the road, because it could have ended much worse than it did.”
The reality star said he had been at a pool party with friends before his arrest. He said he had planned to stay at the friend’s home but decided to leave after drama erupted at the party. Chase said he decided to drive since he only lived a few miles away.
“I should have Ubered, but for some reason, I decided to drive home, and that decision alone kills people every single day,” he said. “I understand the severity of it. Obviously, it was a humiliating low being pulled over and taken in. Terrible look for me.”

Chase revealed he told his ex-wife, Miranda, about the arrest following his release from jail. (The exes were married from 2017 to 2024. They share two children: Brooks, 6, and Cohen, 4.)
“Unfortunately, I have been a disappointment to [Miranda] a number of times throughout the time she’s known me, both as a partner and now as a coparent,” Chase said. “So, that sucks.”
“I am deeply regretful of the decision that I made, and sorry for how it looks, and to everyone that was on the road that day, because obviously that is how people lose lives,” he added.
As Us first reported, Miranda was recently hit with a default judgment in a lawsuit over alleged credit card debit.
