Sweeney began dating Chicago businessman Jonathan Davino in 2018 and the pair got engaged in March 2022.
“I’ve been in a steady relationship for a really long time, which is not normal in this industry and not normal for my age,” Sweeney told Cosmopolitan in a February 2022 interview. “What I’ve noticed about the idea of celebrity is people really love to build someone up, and then tear them down.”
Despite rumors swirling that she and Anyone But You costar Glen Powell had a rumored fling while filming the romantic comedy overseas, Sweeney and Davino stayed together until ultimately calling off their engagement in March 2025. (Sweeney and Powell both denied the cheating allegations.)

Nearly six months after her breakup from Davino, Sweeney and Scooter Braun sparked dating speculation after the twosome were spotted together at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding in Italy.
In October 2025, a source shared with Us that Braun and Sweeney “are dating and it has become more serious.”
“Still not putting a label on it, but Sydney has been having a lot of fun with Scooter,” the insider explained.

Jonathan Davino
Sydney Sweeney and Jonathan Davino began dating in 2018 after attending multiple events together such as the Hulu Emmys party and an InStyle dinner party. The duo got engaged in 2019.
In March 2024, Sweeney shut down rumors that she was hooking up with costar Powell while hosting Saturday Night Live, noting that Davino was the man of her “dreams.”

“That’s obviously not true,” she said regarding the rumors. “Me and my fiancé produced the movie together and he was there the entire shoot, and I just want to let everyone know that he’s the man of my dreams and we’re still together and stronger than ever.”
Nearly one year later, a source told Us that Sweeney and Davino had “officially split.”
The exes were still spotted together multiple times following their breakup, and another insider explained that it was challenging for them to completely stop talking.
“They had been together for so many years and their lives are very intertwined,” the source told Us at the time. “It’s hard for them to just pull the plug and stop all communication. … Sydney and Jonathan have maintained a good relationship during this time and aren’t back together.”

“I don’t have the mental capacity to pull anything like this off, but she’s very smart,” Powell told Business Insider in December 2023 while denying the romance rumors between him and Sweeney. “And look, Sydney and I do have authentic chemistry. It was a lot easier for Sydney to lean into something like that because she’s in a very committed and wonderful relationship and she’s very happy.”

Following Powell’s split from Paris in April 2023 and Sweeney’s breakup from Davino in March 2025, the pair ignited the rumors once again when Sweeney attended Powell’s sister Leslie’s wedding in Dallas.
“There is nothing romantically between Glen and Sydney. They are just friends,” a source told Us exclusively in March 2025. “Sydney is close with the entire family. … Sydney brought one of her girlfriends to the wedding as a guest and she RSVP’d months ago.”
Nearly two months after Sweeney and Powell shut down dating rumors once again, photos published by Page Six showed MGK and Sweeney hugging at a club opening in Las Vegas, causing some fans to speculate about the pair’s status. Later that month, the musician shared an Instagram carousel that included a snap of himself posing alongside the actress as they flashed peace signs at the camera.
MGK seemingly denied any relationship rumors with Sweeney when he was asked by a viewer named “Kyle P.” on an episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen if the duo were “more than just friends.”

Scooter Braun
Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun were first linked after they were spotted walking around Venice, Italy, before attending Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding in June 2025. Nearly three months later, a source told Us that Sweeney is “not exclusively dating anyone right now but is having fun with Scooter.”
“It is not serious,” the insider explained, adding that Sweeney is “dating around and in her single era without having any pressure.” The source noted, however, that Braun is “very into” Sweeney.

After they were seen holding hands in public on several occasions, another source told Us in October 2025 that things had become “more serious” with the couple.
“It has been low-pressure for both of them and has been a different relationship for Sydney. Scooter has introduced her to new perspectives, especially when it comes to business,” the insider shared, adding that Braun has “opened [her] eyes to opportunities and ways of thinking she hadn’t considered” previously. “Sydney has been soaking up the knowledge he brings from working across so many different sectors and industries, and she truly admires the level of experience and insight he has.”
The source went on to say that although Braun and Sweeney have been “keeping things light and fun,” they have also been “consistently seeing each other the last two months.”
“Scooter admires Sydney’s playful and easygoing nature and the way she brings a sense of fun into his often high-pressure world,” the source explained.
