Mick Jagger and Melanie Hamrick enjoyed a fun night on the town!
Jagger, 82, and his fiancée Hamrick, 38, made a rare appearance at the British Museum Ball in London on Saturday, October 18. The pair were all smiles while walking the red carpet and posing for photos. The Rolling Stones frontman wore a blue and black jacket for the occasion, while Hamrick shined in a golden gown adorned with floral details.
While speaking exclusively to Us in May, Hamrick explained there are several big reasons why she and Jagger keep their relationship out of the public eye, but the most important is that to her it’s worth protecting. She also compared the decision to her time as a professional ballet dance.
“I think family is so personal, and it’s a bubble,” she said.“It’s nice to share things, but it’s like the ballet: there needs to be a mystery or people are going to get sick of you.”

Hamrick confirmed to Paris Match in April that she and Jagger are engaged, noting that the rock star proposed “two or three years ago” despite the fact that they didn’t share the news widely.
“Maybe one day we’ll marry, maybe not,” Hamrick said. “We are so happy in our current life that I would be too afraid to change anything.”
The duo first met back in 2014 in Tokyo, where Hamrick was performing alongside the rest of the American Ballet Theatre and the Rolling Stones were performing. They began dating in 2015, and their pairing immediately drew attention due to their 44-year age gap.
“I don’t think about it. Everyone’s going to have their opinion. If you think about others’ opinions, no matter where you are in life, you’re going to have a problem and you’re going to analyze it,” Hamrick told The Sunday Times in September 2024. “I put the blinders on. Am I happy? Yes. Are the people in my life happy? Yes. Am I hurting anyone? No. OK, they can mind their own business.”
Hamrick also revealed she wasn’t especially phased by Jagger when they met. “Ballet dancers meet some of the biggest stars and act, like, ‘Who are you?’ Because, to us, ballet dancers are the gods. That’s who you study and look up to. You’re so in your world,” Hamrick explained.
Though they haven’t yet walked down the aisle, the pair have made other commitments to one another. Their son Deveraux — the rock star’s eighth child and Hamrick’s first — joined the family in December 2016.
“Melanie Hamrick and Mick Jagger’s son was born today in New York, and they are both delighted,” Jagger’s rep told Us Weekly in a statement at the time. “Mick was at the hospital for the arrival. Mother and baby are doing well and we request that the media respect their privacy at this time.”

The rocker is also the father of daughter Karis, 54, with ex Marsha Hunt; daughter Jade, 53, with ex-wife Bianca Jagger; daughters Elizabeth, 41, and Georgia May, 33, and sons James, 40, and Gabriel, 27, with ex Jerry Hall; and son Lucas, 26, with ex Luciana Gimenez. He also has four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
