Latest Shocking Entertainment News: Coldplay Fan Addresses Andy Byron's Family After Uploading Viral Video
The fan who captured the infamous Coldplay kiss cam video is sending a message to the families who were impacted.
“I definitely feel for Andy [Byron]’s wife Megan [Byron], his family and everyone else who has been hurt in the process,” Grace Springer explained on the Monday, July 21, episode of the U.K.’s This Morning. “But as I said, there [were] over 50,000 people and I’m not the only one that caught it on camera, so if it wasn’t me who uploaded it, I’m sure someone else would have.”
Springer captured the moment that the former Astronomer CEO was caught cozying up to employee Kristin Cabot in the Wednesday, July 16, show at Gillette Stadium. In the clip, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin pointed out the pair on the Jumbotron — leading Andy to duck and Cabot to cover her face in her hands.
“Whoa, look at these two. All right, come on. You’re OK,” Martin, 48, told the audience. “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy. I’m not quite sure what to do.”

Neither Andy nor Cabot have yet to publicly address their relationship status. Us Weekly reached out for comment. (The New York Post reported that Cabot divorced ex-husband Kenneth Thornby in 2022, but her current love life is unclear.)
While the awkward interaction has made rounds on the internet, Springer revealed she hasn’t racked up any money from the clip. “I’ve actually made no money from the video itself or the views,” she said on Monday. “It’s not monetized.”
In the aftermath of the video, Us confirmed on Friday, July 18, that Andy was placed on leave from his position. He officially resigned from his role the following day.
“Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met,” a spokesperson for Astronomer told Us in a Saturday, July 19, statement. “Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted. The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive as Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO.”
The statement continued, “Before this week, we were known as a pioneer in the DataOps space, helping data teams power everything from modern analytics to production AI. While awareness of our company may have changed overnight, our product and our work for our customers have not. We’re continuing to do what we do best: helping our customers with their toughest data & AI problems.”
